A weighted post with the belt already inside it.
The cassette is built into the head, so nothing is fitted on site: the belt draws out, clips into the next post and that is the lane. It retracts on a brake rather than snapping back, then locks flat when the run comes down. Nothing bolts to a floor, nothing clamps to a wall and nothing marks a finish — which is usually the sentence a venue needs before it approves the layout at all.
