I Love Events Canada Inc. runs iloveevents.ca under the I Love Events brand. This page sets out the personal information the site collects — which is only what you type into a request — what we do with it and what you can ask us to do about it.
What we collect
The request form is the only thing on this site that collects anything about you. Your email address is the single required field. Everything else is yours to leave alone and submits empty if you do: your name, your phone number, whatever you write in the comment box, the list of items and quantities you built as you browsed, your rental start and end dates, whether we deliver the order or you collect it and the event address.
There is nothing beyond that. No account to register, no profile assembled about you in the background, nothing bought in or gathered from any source other than the form you filled in.
We never ask for card details here. Nothing on this site takes a payment — invoicing happens away from the website, once an order is confirmed.
Why we collect it
To price your order, to fill it and to stay reachable while it runs.
Every field is on the form because a quote needs it. The dates tell us whether the stock is free. The item list tells us what to cost. The delivery choice and the event address tell us where the equipment is going and what getting it there involves. Your email and your phone number are how the quote reaches you and how we find you on the day.
None of it is used for anything else. We do not sell it, we do not trade it and asking us for a quote does not put you on a mailing list.
Your consent
Sending the form is you agreeing that we may use what is in it for the purpose above. You can take that agreement back at any time by writing to info@iloveevents.ca.
If you withdraw it while we are quoting an order or while equipment is out with you, we may not be able to carry on with the order. Records attached to a rental that has already run may also have to stay with us for a while — the section on how long we keep things explains why.
Who else handles it
Two kinds of supplier touch it. One hosts this website. The other delivers form submissions to our inbox. Both handle your information only in order to do that. Some of that handling may happen on servers outside Canada.
Past those two, the only disclosures are the ones an order actually requires — a venue that wants delivery details before it will let a crew through the door, say — and anything the law obliges us to hand over. Nobody is given your details for their own marketing, their own analytics or to sell on.
Cookies, analytics and tracking
None of it runs here today. These pages are static files: no cookie of ours is set, no analytics package is loaded, no advertising pixel fires and no third-party chat widget is embedded.
If any of that is ever added — a measurement tool, an advertising pixel, a chat window — it is named on this page before it goes live. The date under the heading moves with it.
How long we keep it
Up to 10 years at the outside — usually far less than that.
The rule we work to is that information lives only as long as the purpose it was collected for. A request that never became an order has no reason to outlast the season. The paperwork behind a rental that did happen can be needed for tax, accounting or a dispute for years afterwards. Rather than publish one flat figure that would be wrong in both directions, we set a ceiling: nothing is held past 10 years and anything that has stopped serving its purpose goes sooner.
You can ask us to delete yours before either of those points. That is the next section.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything wrong in it or ask us to erase it. To make any of those requests, say which one you want and write to info@iloveevents.ca.
We acknowledge the request, answer it within 30 days and charge nothing for it. Expect a question back first: we need to be satisfied that the information is yours, because we are not going to read somebody else’s enquiry out to whoever asks for it.
If we cannot do what you have asked, we tell you why. The usual reason is a legal one — records tied to a completed rental have to survive a deletion request for a period. Where that applies we delete everything else, then tell you what is left and how long it stays.
Keeping it safe
The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted on its way to us. The inbox those submissions land in is open only to the people who quote and run orders.
No method of sending or storing information is completely secure and we do not claim ours is the exception.
Children
This site is built for people arranging equipment for a company, a venue or an occasion of their own. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child.
Changes to this policy
We revise this page when the site or the business changes. The date under the heading at the top is when it last happened.
Who to write to about privacy
Any question about this policy — and any request for access, correction or deletion — goes to the address below. It reaches the people who can actually act on it.
