A conference weekend and a Saturday market want different trucks. For the programme: stage decks and risers at the front of the room, belt stanchions and sign stands where delegates arrive, banquet and cocktail tables with chairs, pipe and drape closing off the breakouts. For the local calendar: party tents and canopies over whatever sits outdoors, a dance floor, lighting and the games and photo activations that keep an evening moving.
Where events happen in Collingwood
Blue Mountain Village Conference Centre, just outside town in The Blue Mountains, is the largest conference facility in the northern corridor and handles crowds in the high hundreds. Bear Estate on Balsam Street runs outdoor ceremonies with gardens and a dock. The Willow Room on Second Street runs smaller gatherings upstairs. Collingwood Foundry on Hurontario Street hosts networking and business events downtown.

A conference programme usually asks one room to be three rooms before it is over. We plan the deliveries and the changeovers against the agenda rather than dropping everything on day one.
For anything outdoors up here, wind is the design constraint. Tents are weighted and sidewalls are worth having available.
