Event Rentals in Nanaimo

Nanaimo is the Island’s second city and the hub for everything north of Victoria. Its event work splits three ways: conference business downtown at the harbour, community halls scattered through the neighbourhoods and out toward Cedar, country properties south of town where the event is built from scratch.

What we supply in Nanaimo

Rope and belt stanchions with bike rack barricades and carpet runners on the arrival. Cocktail tables, banquet rounds and folding chairs. Stage decks, risers and dance floors. Pipe and drape closing off breakout rooms and exhibit booths. Party tents and canopies. Interlocking floor tile, lighting, sign stands and games.

Where events happen in Nanaimo

The Vancouver Island Conference Centre on Gordon Street is the main business venue, easy to reach from either ferry terminal, with a parkade underneath that makes load-in straightforward in any weather. Chapel Street Hall is a renovated heritage room downtown with its own sound system and a flexible layout. Cedar Community Hall on Cedar Road has high ceilings and an open field around it. Wellington Hall on Corunna Avenue has a stage and a good dance floor, with limited parking and an accessible entrance around the back. Pleasant Valley Social Centre on Doumont Road takes about sixty guests with plenty of parking. South of town, Empress Acres on Haslam Road and Blue Heron Estate on Newfield Road run outdoor events on private grounds.

Three kinds of job, three plans

A conference downtown is planned backwards from the programme, so the room is standing before the first delegate is. A community hall is planned around what the building does not have. A country property is planned around the ground: the access questions answered before loading, flooring down first, everything weighted rather than staked.

What to expect when you book in Nanaimo

The list that leaves is the list that arrives, because a crossing gives you no second chance at it. Getting it over here is our problem, not something added to yours.

Send the event dates, which products and in what quantity and the event address and which of the three kinds of job it is.
