The advantage over real wood is that this one ignores weather.
It is fully waterproof and self-draining and rated for outdoor use, so rain on a tented reception is a weather problem rather than a floor problem. The block pattern is an industrial-grade printed wear surface rather than laid hardwood, which is exactly why it survives the night it is rented for.

Three footprints

12 × 12 ft
Works particularly well in rooms that already have character — a private dining room with wood trim, a heritage hall, a smaller barn or club space. Where a pale floor announces itself as rented equipment, parquet reads as part of the room, which is usually the point in a venue somebody chose for its interior. It is also the size most often booked when the floor exists to define a first dance rather than hold a crowd all night.
16 × 16 ft
The size a wedding floor usually has to be: big enough to survive the moment the band starts and everybody stands up at once. A mid-toned wood surface also gives a camera a consistent base whether the room is lit warm, lit cool or lit by daylight through a marquee window.
20 × 20 ft
Our largest parquet size. At 20 feet a side the block pattern becomes a visible design element rather than a texture — an argument for parquet at this scale and in a very modern room an argument against it, because a large parquet floor commits the room to a traditional look in a way a smaller one does not. In a ballroom, a country club or a marquee it is exactly right.
Above 20 × 20 ft
There is no larger parquet floor in this catalogue. A longer rectangle is a different question and the answer is yes — send dimensions rather than a size name.

Heritage halls
Rooms with panelling, cornices and a floor somebody is protective of. A wood-patterned surface sits in that room rather than on top of it.
Barn and farm weddings
Where the whole aesthetic is timber and the ground underneath is usually not level enough to dance on. Wood on top of it keeps the look and fixes the surface.
Country clubs
A room that runs the same event all season and has views about what belongs in it. Parquet is the finish that argues with those views least.
Marquee receptions
Waterproof and rated outdoors, which is what lets a wood-patterned floor go under canvas at all. It is the one argument for this finish that none of the others can make.
First dances
A 12-foot parquet square defines the moment without committing the room to a nightclub for the rest of the evening.
Rooms lit however they happen to be lit
Warm tungsten, cool LED, daylight through a window wall. A mid-toned surface shifts less between them than a white floor does, which matters when the photography runs from afternoon into the night.
The same warmth, not danced on
For a lounge rather than a floor.
If what you want is wood underfoot in a seated area — a lounge set, a retail-style booth, an interview corner — this floor is more product than the job needs. The wood-look interlocking tile is foam rather than a dance panel and covers the same ground for standing on.
