Specifications

Three rope colours and that is not an oversight.

End caps are matched to the post, so this one comes with the silver-capped ropes and only those: red, navy or black. A gold-capped rope will physically clip on and it looks like hardware from another set, at the height everybody is looking.

What it is good at

Six places the polished post is the right one.

  • Shopfront and pavement entrances

On a street, at a doorway, along the edge of a runner. Chrome holds daylight and stays legible from the far side of the road, which is where the people you are directing are standing.

  • Glass-and-steel lobbies

A modern building already has cool metal in its door frames, lift surrounds and handrails. Chrome joins that; warm gold reads as something brought in for the day.

  • Press walls and photo areas

Where the equipment is in shot on purpose, a bright vertical either side of a backdrop frames it — as long as the room has light for it to catch.

  • Showroom and vehicle displays

Around a car, a plinth or a launch piece under lighting built to make metal look like metal, which is the one condition this finish is at its best in.

  • Retail and mall activations

A short roped run inside a centre or a flagship, where the post has to look like fixtures rather than like something borrowed for the weekend.

  • Beside chrome belt posts

When one event has a moving queue at one end and a held line at the other, keeping both in the same metal is what makes the floor read as one setup.

The floor between them

A dark walk under bright posts.

Chrome is the brightest finish we rent. Put it either side of black and the posts become the line while the walk between them stops competing for attention. It is also the runner to pick where there is branding at the far end: black leaves it alone. Four or six feet wide, cut to your figure for an extra charge if no stocked length fits.
