A two-metre belt that can leave in four directions.
Each post runs a 2 m red belt and carries three more catches around the head, so a line can turn at any post. The base is steel over a rubber underside.

Colour is the fastest instruction there is. A red belt on the accredited lane beside black on general entry sorts a crowd before anyone reads a sign.

Around a vehicle on a plinth or a case of product, a red line carries the meaning a black one leaves to a steward to explain.

Where the palette is set months before the build, the equipment either belongs in the photographs or is cropped out of them.

Worth adding at the head
A red belt closes a line. It cannot explain one.
Red reads as stop from across a room, which is why it ends up over the gaps nobody should walk through. What it cannot say is why the gap is closed or where the open one is.
