Where two faces are worth having
Six doorways an A-frame belongs in.
Outside a session room
Session in progress on the approach, next at 2:15 on the way back. The same frame answers two different questions depending on which direction somebody is walking.
A street entrance
Event name facing the pavement and a floor plan facing the door, so the sign recruits from outside and orients from inside without being moved.
Mid-corridor, both ways
Run the same graphic twice and it reads from either end. This is the case where two faces is not two messages, it is one message that cannot be walked past from behind.
A multi-day programme
One frame and three sets of panels covers three days. The panel drops in from above and lifts out the same way, so the change happens where the frame stands.
A pop-up in a mall concourse
Nothing may be fixed to a shopfront, a pillar or a balustrade, so the sign has to bring its own floor. This one does and it comes away at the end of the day leaving nothing behind.
A closed entrance
A redirect at a door that is not in use — building works, a private function, an exit-only route. It goes where the problem is and comes away when the problem does.
What goes behind the board
A sign at the door builds the crowd at the door.
Put a board on the pavement announcing doors at seven and by ten to seven there is a crowd in front of it with no shape at all. Belt posts are what give that crowd a front and a side before the doors move. Matte black, a 12.6 inch base, planned at 8 ft between posts like every other queue on the site.
