A bracket that tilts and six hours on a charge.
The fixture sits in a U-shaped bracket that tilts, so it stands on the floor at the wall and aims up it. A charge runs up to 6 hours and there is no lead at the fixture, so nothing has to reach a socket and nothing crosses a walkway. One remote comes with the order and sets the colour and the mode.

Where a light on the floor earns its place
Six rooms that change with them.
A blank ballroom wall
The most common one. A long pale wall reads as nothing in photographs; a row of lights at the skirting gives it a colour and gives the room a back edge.
Behind a head table or a lectern
Colour on the wall behind whoever is speaking separates them from it. The fixture is under nine inches tall, so it sits below the sightline of a seated room rather than in it.
Up a run of drape
Fabric takes light better than paint does. A drape line built to hide a service door or a bare wall becomes the feature of the room once there is something washing up it.
Stonework, columns and panelling
Anything with relief in it. Light raking up a textured surface from close to the base picks out the depth that flat house lighting washes away.
A venue with no spare outlet
Heritage rooms, marquees, atriums, anywhere the sockets are in the wrong wall. The battery is the whole argument here: a light with no lead is a light that goes where the room needs it.
A room that has to change during the night
Dinner in warm white, the speeches unchanged, the floor in colour afterwards. The remote does it from where you are standing. Sound-activated mode hands the room to whatever the band is doing.
The other thing at floor level
A full room finds everything standing on the floor.
These sit at the skirting board, which is exactly where a crowd ends up once the room fills. A belt line along the wall keeps the fixtures out of the traffic and gives the floor the edge the lighting has already drawn. Matte black posts at 8 ft spacing, which is dark enough to vanish in a room that has been dimmed for the wash.
